You haven’t been playing cello long and would like to play with other cellists? Then Cello spielen mit Vielen is exactly right for you!

Here you will find pieces for four cellos, perfectly suitable for beginners and lots of fun!

The volumes are not graded according to level of difficulty but are rather all on the same level. Further details can be obtained from each volume.

The author has taken excellent care to ensure great readability through large print and sensible page breaks as well as sufficient space between the staves (for fingerings or other notes).

Throughout all volumes the selection of music ranges from Baroque through to Classical, Romantic and the present. Well-known melodies and real rarities in music history, as well as new compositions make an exciting mix.

Each volume costs € 24.80 (incl. 7% VAT) and consists of both, score in book form and parts in a care board folder.

Julia Hecht, author of cello school Cello spielen – Eine Einführung für neugierige Erwachsene, has many years' experience as a teacher of adult beginners. These volumes were developed by her from her teaching experience, as well as cello-workshops for adults, which she regularly holds i.e. in Landesmusikakademie Schloss Rheinsberg and so have undergone much practical testing.

In this edition you will find pieces for four cellos from the Baroque, Romantic and contemporary , all of which are suitable for beginners.

All parts are written in the bass clef. With Charpentier and Bruckner only Cello 1 goes into the 4th position, all other cellos remain in the 1st position. With Bach, Cello 1 and 3 go to the 4th position, Cello 2 to the 3rd position, Cello 4 remains in the 1st position. With Libellen, Cello 1 and 2 go to the 4th position, Cello 4 to the 2nd position, Cello 3 remains in the 1st position.

This play-along CD is the perfect complement to the cello method "Playing the Cello - An Introduction for Curious Adults" by Julia Hecht, published by Edition Peters (see below).

With this CD you can choose from three different options:
1. If you turn the balance control all the way to the left, you will only hear the first cello on the left channel
2. If you turn the balance control all the way to the right, you will only hear the second cello or the piano on the right channel
3. You leave the balance control in the middle as usual, then you will hear the piece with all voices.
You can now listen to your voice in peace or you can play along with your voice.

There are 50 pieces on the CD, either for two cellos or for cello and piano. The playing time is approx. 42 minutes, the level of difficulty is very easy. Have fun playing the cello!
